1066 Competition

A long-term competition and a couple of terrific prizes, courtesy of 1066 the movie! You could win first prize of a guided tour of the set during shooting of the film, with a signed poster of the film for the runner-up. How? Well, imagine for a moment you are the casting director...

You need the right actor to play William the Conqueror, a man around 40 years old, who is "charismatic yet psychotic". Who would you cast? Quite simply tell us your choice for the r>

The competition will remain open until the part is cast, so will be of indefinite duration. However, some interesting names are reading the script at present, and a decision could be made tomorrow. So don't delay - enter soon to make sure you are in with a chance! And even if you don't correctly cast the part, you may still have a chance of winning the poster - please read the rules below, then send us your suggestion.

Please note - although the set visit will take place during shooting, the date of the visit cannot be confirmed at this time, and it should not be regarded as an opportunity to meet Lewis or any other stars of the film.

Competition Rules, Terms and Conditions

i. Entrants can be any age, but minors should have an adult's permission to enter and would have to be accompanied by an adult in the event of winning first prize.

ii. You must provide a valid email address as this is how the winners will be notified. Please ensure you enter your email address correctly.

iii. Only one entry per email address will be accepted. If you change your mind about your choice, you can submit a second suggestion, but this will automatically cancel your first entry.

iv. The competition will close as soon as it is announced that the r>
v. In the event of more than one correct entry, they will be entered into a draw. The draw will be made using an online random selector at www.random.org. The first name selected will win the top prize of a set visit. The second will receive the signed poster.

vi. If there is only one correct entry, this person will automatically win the set visit. The remaining entries will then be entered into the online random selector at www.random.org to select a runner-up. If an address was entered incorrectly and we are unable to make email contact, the entry will be rejected and another winner randomly selected.

vii. The winner of the set visit may have to agree to further Term and Conditions that could be required by the Company of 1066 the movie nearer the time. The winner is responsible for their own travel and/or accommodation arrangements and costs: these are not offered as part of the prize. A selection of dates will be offered to the winner, once shooting has been scheduled. There is no cash equivalent, in the event that the winner is unable to accept the prize, or for any other reason.

viii. The winner of the signed poster must provide their name and postal addresses, so that the prize can be sent to them. Please note that Lewis will not be one of the signatories on the poster.

ix. The winners' names and towns will be displayed here on the website as soon as they are known.

x. The site owners' decision is final, and no dispute or correspondence will be entered into.
