Lewis Remembered - Ten Years On

We're sure that Lew's fans all remember where they were on this day ten years ago when we heard the dreadful news that he had passed away in Los Angeles.

Over 1,200 messages of condolence flooded into the website over the next few day at such a rate that a small group of helpers was required to process them all, often through our own grief. But we did it, and the pages remain on the website as a permanent tribute.

The Collins family saw every message and responded to the fans with their own message to the fans shortly afterwards.

One thing we didn't have time to do back then was seek out tributes from Lews' peers, so ten years on, we now present the ones we could find. If any fans come across any others, please send them to us so we can add to this new permanent page.

Lew is still very much missed and will never be forgotten by his many fans, and we'll be here to keep his memory alive for the next ten years, and the next, and the next... Rest In Peace, Lew.
